Who we are
Pawfile is a pet health record app for dogs, cats and other pets. It is published by Hemiogenic Interactive ("we", "us"). This policy explains how the app handles your information.
What stays on your phone
Everything you enter is stored only in the app's private storage on your device: pet names, species, breeds, birth dates, optional microchip numbers, vaccines, medications and the doses you write down, weights, notes, reminder settings and document photos. There is no sign-in, no cloud sync and no Pawfile server. We cannot see, access or recover this information.
- Photos come from the system photo picker or the camera, only when you choose to add one. Pawfile does not ask for access to your whole photo library. Saved photos are encrypted on the device, and location data is removed when a photo is saved.
- Reminders are local notifications scheduled on your phone. Pawfile does not use push notifications, and nothing is sent to a server to deliver them.
- Phone backup is turned off for Pawfile on Android, so your records are not copied into cloud backups. This also means a new phone starts empty.
When information leaves your phone
Exports you choose. When you export a vet pack, Pawfile makes a PDF and hands it to your phone's share sheet. Where it goes next (email, a messaging app, a printer, your files) is your choice, and that service's own terms and privacy policy apply to its copy.
Purchases. Pawfile can be used for free with one pet. In versions of the app where purchases are enabled, Pawfile contacts RevenueCat, the service we use to confirm purchases, when the app starts and when you buy or restore the one-time unlock. Payment itself is handled by the App Store or Google Play. RevenueCat processes the purchase details (such as the product, price, date and store transaction record) and an anonymous app user ID that the app creates. This ID is not linked to your name, email or pet records, and is used only to check, confirm and restore your unlock. We never receive your card or payment details. See RevenueCat's privacy policy, and Apple's or Google's for the store itself.
Nothing else leaves your phone. Your pet records are never sent to us, to RevenueCat or to anyone else.
What we don't do
Pawfile has no analytics, no advertising, no advertising identifiers, no crash-reporting tools and no tracking. We do not sell or share personal data.
Your choices & deletion
You can edit or delete any pet or record at any time. Settings → Delete all data removes every pet, record, photo and scheduled reminder from the phone. Uninstalling the app also removes its data. Because we hold no copy, there is nothing for us to delete on a server. Notification and camera permissions can be turned off in your phone's settings; Pawfile keeps working without them.
Health information
Pawfile is a record keeper, not veterinary advice. It does not diagnose, recommend treatments or work out doses. Vaccine schedules in the app are general starting points: always confirm with your vet.
Children
Pawfile is not directed to children under 13. The app sends no personal data to us from anyone.
Changes
We may update this policy and will post the new version at this address before it takes effect.
