Proof — Warranty & Receipts

Privacy Policy

Effective: November 5, 2026

Proof has no account and no server. Your items, receipt photos and settings are stored only on your phone. We cannot see them, and nothing you record is sent to us.

Who we are

Proof keeps your receipts and warranty end dates in one place, reminds you before a warranty ends, and makes a claim pack PDF when you need one. It is published by Hemiogenic Interactive ("we", "us"). This policy explains how the app handles your information.

What stays on your phone

Everything you enter stays in the app's private storage on your device: item names, shops, prices, purchase dates, categories, warranty lengths, receipt photos and your settings. Receipt photos are encrypted on the device, with the key held in the phone's secure key storage. There is no sign-in, no account, no cloud sync and no Proof server, so we never receive this information.

Android's automatic backup is turned off for Proof, so your records are not copied to a Google backup and a new phone starts empty. If you want a copy, use Settings → Export all records as PDF.

Photos and camera

You can photograph a receipt with the camera or pick an existing photo through your phone's own photo picker. Proof only receives the photo you take or choose, not the rest of your library. The saved copy is re-encoded on your phone and stored encrypted. Both are optional: you can save an item without a photo.

Reminders

Reminders are local notifications scheduled on your phone, about 30 days before a warranty ends. They are not sent from a server, and Proof does not register for or send a push token. You can turn reminders off in your phone's settings at any time; the rest of the app keeps working.

Sharing and export

A claim pack or an export of all records leaves your phone only when you choose to share it, through your phone's share sheet, to the app or person you pick. What happens to it after that is governed by that app or person.

The one-time unlock (RevenueCat)

Proof is free for up to 3 items. A one-time in-app purchase removes that limit. The payment is handled by the App Store or Google Play; we never see your card or payment details.

To confirm and restore the unlock, Proof uses RevenueCat, Inc. as our purchase-processing provider. When the app checks the unlock (at start-up) and when you buy or restore it, RevenueCat receives an anonymous app user ID created by the app, your purchase history for Proof (such as the product, the store transaction and its date), and the technical details needed to talk to the store (such as the app version, platform and store country). RevenueCat never receives your items, receipts or photos. This information is used only to provide the unlock. It is not linked to your name or contact details and is not used for advertising or tracking. See RevenueCat's privacy policy.

What we do not do

Proof has no analytics, no advertising, no advertising identifiers, no crash-reporting service and no tracking. We do not sell or share personal data.

Your choices and deletion

You can edit or delete any item. Settings → Delete all data permanently removes every item, receipt photo, reminder and setting from your phone. Uninstalling the app also removes them. Because we hold none of your records, there is nothing of yours for us to delete on a server. A purchase record stays with the App Store or Google Play and RevenueCat so you can restore the unlock later; email us if you have a question about it.

Children

Proof is a general-audience utility. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

Changes

We may update this policy and will post the new version at this address before it takes effect.
